Press

With no one starring role or driving plot, "Hot l Baltimore" is a play that could sink or swim with the strengths of the actors -- both individually and as an ensemble. Under the thoughtful direction of Madison theater veteran Sam White, and with a well-matched cast of 15 talented actors, this is one show that sails.

- Rena Archwamety, 77 Square: Actors make "Hot l Baltimore" a 4 star production

There is some real talent in the cast.

- Katie Reiser, The Isthmus: Life on the margins in Madison Theatre Guild's Hot l Baltimore

In an atmosphere as dilapidated and miserable as the hotel's post-glory days, the actors portaying the motley crew of Hotel Baltimore residents need to provide vivid splashes of color and energy to keep the story moving. Luckily, the Madison Theatre Guild cast is capable of achieving just that.

- Sarah Whitman, The Badger Herald: Hot l Baltimore lacks letters but packs plenty of heat, fun
